The internet is ablaze with excitement as celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh prepare for the birth of their first child. On Thursday, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy via a shared post. It said in the post, “September 2024.” As pictures of Deepika covering her midsection from the 77th BAFTA Awards surfaced, rumors that she might be hiding a baby bump quickly spread. To share the news, Deepika and Ranveer each used their own Instagram accounts. They uploaded an e-card with soft pastel-colored balloons, baby clothes, lollipops, and booties.
Social media speculation about Padukone’s pregnancy intensified, especially on the microblogging site X, after she made an effort to cover up her stomach on the red carpet at the BAFTAs. As a presenter at the event, Padukone attracted attention with her stunning silver saree, which was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The “Ram Leela” actress candidly revealed her wish to have a family in an earlier interview with Vogue Singapore, saying, “Ranveer and I adore children.” We are excited for the day when we can start a family of our own.”
After dating for six years, Padukone and Singh exchanged vows in November 2018 at Lake Como, Italy. Their paths first came together on the set of the commercially successful 2013 romantic drama “Ram Leela,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The audience was enthralled with their on-screen chemistry in Bhansali’s later epics, “Padmavaat” and “Bajirao Mastani.”
On social media, a number of Bollywood celebrities congratulated the couple after they revealed their pregnancy. interacting with Deepika and Ranveer’s post in the comments section. Priyanka Chopra, an actress, wrote “Mubarak” and an emoji of a red heart. Kriti Sanon penned, “Whoah! Congrats to the two of you.”
Professionally, Padukone most recently starred with Hrithik Roshan in the aerial drama “Fighter,” which had a mediocre box office performance. Her upcoming role is opposite Telugu superstar Prabhas in the fantasy film “Kalki 2898 AD”.
Singh is getting ready to star in “Don 3,” the third entry in the “Don” franchise, which was previously helmed by the legendary Shah Rukh Khan. Fans are excited about the film, which stars actress Kiara Advani opposite him. The Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding ceremony is set to take place in Jamnagar from March 1 to March 3, and among the guests invited are Deepika and Ranveer.

Additionally, Ranveer mentioned that he has started choosing baby names.
