Yashasvi Jaiswal became well-known in Indian cricket after his outstanding 2020 Under-19 World Cup performance, which earned him the title of man of the tournament. He finished the competition with over 400 runs, and his victory was all the sweeter knowing that he had to work hard to get there. Yashasvi struggled a lot as a junior cricket player because he was not selected for the Indian U-19 team.

Jaiswal was born in Uttar Pradesh, but his desire to play cricket and his dream of being a member of the Indian team drove him to Mumbai, where he had to walk from ground to ground looking for cricket matches.

Jaiswal’s cricket career is the ideal example of an Indian tale

The talented top-order batsman, who was 17 at the time, debuted in first class during the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy season. Later in September, during India’s U–23 tour of Bangladesh, he made his List–a debut. Jaiswal’s advancement at the national and age-group levels earned him a spot in the 2020 U-19 World Cup. However, he had to work harder at everything and was not successful right away even after being selected for the Indian U-19 team. His century in the Asia Cup helped him to qualify for the World Cup.

The batting reputation of Jaiswal, who used to work at a Panipuri store outside Azad Maidan in Mumbai, is steadily rising. On Sunday in Rajkot, Jaiswal thrashed the bowlers from England. His three consecutive sixes on James Anderson were the high point of his inning. With twelve sixes in his innings, he set a new record for India.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a young batsman from Mumbai, made his debut on July 12, 2023, against the West Indies. In just his first game, he scored a century, demonstrating his exceptional talent. By scoring his second consecutive double century against England, first in Visakhapatnam and now in Rajkot, this 22-year-old left-handed batsman broke numerous records.

England bowlers were thrashed by Jaiswal

The batting reputation of Jaiswal, who used to work at a Panipuri store outside Azad Maidan in Mumbai, is steadily rising. On Sunday in Rajkot, Jaiswal thrashed the bowlers from England. His three consecutive sixes on James Anderson were the high point of his inning. With 12 sixes in his innings, he equaled the world record held by Wasim Akram and set a new record for India.

Jaiswal has so far only participated in three test matches

After Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli, he is just the third batsman from India to score two centuries in a row. In addition, Jaiswal has only appeared in three test matches thus far but has already hit 22 sixes. The series consists of two remaining test matches. This record was previously registered under Rohit Sharma’s name.
In a test series, Rohit had struck 19 sixes in all. During the 2019 Test series against South Africa, Rohit accomplished this feat.

Yashasvi recalled his battle

Yashasvi said, “Test cricket is hard, but I thought that when I am in the team, I have to give my all,” following his innings. In India, getting on a bus, train, or automobile requires effort. I have experienced this since I was a young child. This has really aided me in developing the mindset I need to work hard.

Yashasvi was forced to retire on Saturday in Rajkot because of back pain. Yashasvi said, “I went outside even though I didn’t want to because the pain had gotten much worse.” I wanted to make sure that I carried the game to the end when I arrived today.

Former Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga, who coached the Rajasthan Royals’ bowling unit, commented on Yashasvi’s innings, saying, “I was impressed by Jaiswal’s commitment to the game during his time in Rajasthan.” During my career, I have witnessed this kind of dedication in very few young people. This boy is unique.

These records were destroyed

In a test series, the first batsman to hit 20 sixes most sixes shared during a test innings Test scores with a minimum of 150 achieved by Indians before the age of 23. Third Indian to reach two centuries consecutively. The second-youngest Indian batsman in test series history to reach 500 runs. The second Indian to score 200 runs in a test the quickest.
