The first two guests in the seventh season of Karan Johar’s conversation show Koffee with Karan were Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Bhatt talked candidly about how her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor began on the show. The actor from Darlings revealed that everyone in her immediate vicinity had been telling her that she and Kapoor will wind up together.
“Ranbir and I were both single again after a very long period. I said “okay” when everyone around me, including my sister and friends, assured me that we would get together. Though I’m only half-wishing for it, I’m thinking, “Let’s see.” I didn’t want to exert too much effort. It ought to occur organically. And it only sort of happened spontaneously.”
Ranbir’s proposal for Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt recalls how thrilled she was to be seated next to Ranbir Kapoor as they were traveling to Tel Aviv to conduct a workshop for Brahmastra. I recall him entering the room with me, and we were seated together. He was meant to be my seatmate. She remarked, “I was looking this way waiting for him to come sit next to me because I was really excited.” However, there was a possibility that he would be seated somewhere else because of a problem with his seat. Bhatt recalled the incident by saying, “I was like, ‘Why is my dream getting shattered?'” However, he eventually arrived and sat back after his seat was adjusted. “That feeling only began there, and the rest is history,” she continued.
Additionally, Alia Bhatt talked about how Ranbir Kapoor asked her out in Maasai Mara. The actor stated, “In terms of Ranbir and his planning, he totally blew my mind away because I was not expecting it,” without going into too much detail. Not that we were discussing it at all. We had been discussing it for a while, but after so many epidemic delays, we decided to stop talking about it. We’ll just follow our instincts. And he carried out that exact action. He kept it a secret. He simply carried the ring, and he did it in Maasai Mara, the most breathtaking location.
Bhatt claimed that while she was still getting over Kapoor’s unexpected proposal, he disclosed that he had also requested the guide to take pictures, which completely shocked her. “He had positioned our guide to capture the photo as well,” she remarked.
Together, the Kapoors do everything
In response to a question about whether she needed to alter who she was to fit in with the Kapoor family, Alia Bhatt stated, “I was raised with my mother, my sister, and my father.” And that was all. We didn’t really communicate much. Although we were a small family, we were very close. We didn’t have these enormous parties or gatherings. Everyone followed their own path. Now let’s meet the Kapoor family, where everyone works together on everything. You all perform aarti and eat together, as well as everything else together. It was adorable. Because of the Kapoor family, I have experienced so many moments of culture and family that it has completely changed the course of my life.”
