“6-Year-Old’s Shocking Claim: ‘Papa is in the Drum’ in Murder Investigation”

A former Merchant Navy officer’s mother asserts her deceased daughter informed her through the statement “Papa is in the drum” about the present situation regarding his demise that occurred through her wife’s murder plot.
Police denied this story by indicating that the girl might have learned about the discovery of the gruesome incident. Saurabh Rajput’s dismembered remains arrived at the Indira Nagar residence after postmortem examinations had been performed with the body wrapped inside cement-filled drum. A late evening cremation was performed on Wednesday evening for the deceased person.
Before the official police notification of Saurabh’s murder on March 18, the deceased family asserts the accused wife Muskan Rastogi’s parents knew about the killing.
Renu Devi declared that her daughter who was six years old also understood about her father’s demise.
According to some reports Saurabh’s daughter told people that her father was inside the drum which is why she said “Papa is in the drum” states Renu Devi.
The head of the city police department Ayush Vikram Singh denied this claim by stating that Muskan told relatives the story during which her daughter might have been there. Prior to this incident the girl lacked any information about it. Renu Devi threatened the parents of Muskan by refuting their story about being ignorant of the murder while accusing them of trying to deceive the investigators.
According to Renu Devi the mother obtained information about the crime before March 18. Renu Devi stated that the suspects visited the police station to avoid getting involved with legal issues on Wednesday.
The police monitored as Muskan and her partner Sahil Shukla admitted to killing Saurabh through stabbing on March 4. He and she executed the cutting of the body followed by placing it into the drum before they sealed it with cement.
The two were arrested on Tuesday and remanded in 14-day judicial custody Wednesday.
Officials said Muskan and Sahil spent a restless night in Chaudhary Charan Singh district jail here, showing signs of extreme distress.
Viresh Raj Sharma, senior jail superintendent, said, “Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, were brought to the jail around 6 pm on Wednesday. Muskan was placed in the women’s barrack (barrack number 12), while Sahil was assigned to the men’s barrack (barrack number 18).”
During that time Muskan kept quiet as she avoided making contact with others and refused to eat the provided food. The food provided to her remained untouched by Muskan according to him.
The jail reports indicated Muskan spent a night of continuous weeping but the jail superintendent chose not to issue any statement about it.
The sources established that both Muskan and Sahil specifically requested the jail authorities to assign them neighboring barracks.
Muskan visited her family on March 18 as police sources reported she told them about her role in the murder. The parents led Muskan to the police station after she informed them about the murder. A case was registered after the body examination then Muskan and Sahil ended up under arrest.
The Superintendent of Police City Singh asserted that Saurabh’s murder was set to happen by Muskan beginning in November 2023. Superstitious tendencies in Sahil became Muskan’s target so she established a fake version of his deceased mother’s Snapchat account.
Muskan used her sibling’s fake Snapchat ID named his brother to communicate apparently false messages to Sahil indicating that his dead mother connected through this ID. The police spokesperson indicated that Muskan claimed Saurabh’s deceased mother requested Saurabh’s death although he stated this part needs additional analysis.
“Muskan knew that after Saurabh’s murder, his family would not try to find him. Because Saurabh was not in regular touch with his family members for the last couple of years,” said the SP.
“The family members of Saurabh, who were angry after his marriage with Muskan, had not spoken to him in the last two years when he was abroad,” the police officer said, revealing that Muskan believed her husband’s absence would go unnoticed.
